ahh..just came back from a hmm, interesting genting trip. hehe.. i wouldn't say it's a bomb.. but it's definitely a great time to bond=) thanks sam and jane for making this trip happened.. it was planned in such a short noticed, basically everyone in college cg was just desperate for a trip and time out from our usual studies and assignments..gah. so, genting happened=) yay! i shall say no more..and let the pictures says it ALL! enjoy..

1/6 - 3/6 (friday - sunday)

well, we were late..thanks to ahem* (the guy everyone is pointing at..) so the early group left us..and we were broken into 2 groups to go.



he felt so bad that he don't even want to show his face anymore.. ahaha

on our way.. as u can see we were too bored.



reached there around evening time. we had pasta..yummy =) we stayed in awana btw..booked two rooms, one for the guys and one for the girls. 9 girls + 6 guys.

later that nite around..1 something, went down to the golf course and played the silent war game. scary.. and fun=)

just wanna thank God for all that he has done in this group of ppl.. eventho it's hard to hang on to Him.. it's hard to put Him as our main priority in life.. but look! our God is the God of faithfulness.. he never gives up on anyone.. look at the blessing he was brought upon all of us. guys, continue to put this college cell in your everyday prayers alright? i believe God will do great things in our lives as we hold on to his word and his will.. love everyone of u so so so much.. and above all, i love you Lord!

My abandoned blog?

hey people.. so so sorry for abandoning my blog for soooo super duper looong. been busy and lazy=p anyway, i shall update some highlights that has happened since my previous post aight?

First up! we have.. 2plus3!! wheee~

basically, since semester started, other than our usual classes, assignments, practices..bla bla bla the list goes on. what goes on in my mind the most is this ensemble group. we were sent to participate in the Electone Festival 2007 in the ensemble category, representing my academy. Electone festival is basically an event promoting electones. hehehe.. it's quite an annual big event in yamaha, and of course one of the biggest event in Japan music industry. (am i right lily? correct me if im wrong yea..)

we started practicing practically since semester started.. and oh yes, our competition song is "summertime" written by George Gershwin, of course we're not using the original, ahem* boring version. hehe=p we're doing the funk+jazz version! -way cool. grinz*

thanks to our dearest most 'bestest' leader-lily tan! without her, this group won't even exist. im serious. well, we had fun didn't we? =) we went for the central regional audition/semi-finals on the 5th of May. they are being rather strict this year, usually after this round there's still a semifinal, then finals. but this time, which ever team get chosen will straight away go to the finals, so the competition is tough. plus, it's not only in this region, they need to go to places like johor and penang to see the other contestants, then only they'll choose the final 5 teams to compete in the finals.

oh and the guy in white+blue stripes? is our all time favourite teacher, and also our mentor for this competition - Pok Chee Hong!! a.k.a pok (that's what lily calls him.. sigh see la this kinda student. *shakes head*)

sadly the result will only be out in a months time, and that would be on the 4th of June. next week!! as chee hong said, if we do get into finals, first price will be our target. but as for me, we MUST win cuz i just spent 90 over bucks over a top for the final competition. not that we are being over confident, just that one of the judge has already "let water out" that we're in the finals. haha.. so nothing wrong by being really prepared right? =p

let me do a lil advertising here..
the finals will be held in KLCC convention centre, plenary theatre auditorium
on the 17th of June, 3.00pm
RM20 per pax.

so ahem* if we do get into the finals.. i will be really really really happy if you(whoever is reading) will come and support! ehehe.. am i asking too much? oh well, i would really appreciate it if you guys could just pray for us.

and my next highlight, well i wouldn't say highlight.. but something worth remembering, would be James' grandma passed away on the 18th of May. eventho she wasn't my real grandma, but im still related to her somehow, and remembering that i grew up having her around, seeing her every sunday.. gatherings on her birthday, CNY..etc. i treated her as my real grandma. eventho it's sad seeing someone leave the world, but it's a joy to see that she has just started a new journey in another life, in heaven -with God.

And of course! not forgetting to mentioned, the cheng brothers all came back from aussie to give their grandma their last respect and last words. so another part of me was really happy cuz 3 of my dearest cousins are back! spent a great weekend with em. thank you Lord! didn't realize how much i miss james until i saw him again in the funeral. but nevermind, gonna pay them a visit in Aug during my semester break! and of course, can't wait to see my darling bri too =) and hehe..mel too. eventho she' s still around at the moment. loads of ppl to meet up ahem* you know who u are.. ahem* er muo..ahem* hahaha.. my last trip b4 i leave for UK.

as for my life now,
- assignments are all piled up but i haven't started on any of it yet. ahh..
- finals in a months time. more ahh..
- practicing for EF finals.. ahh! pressure pressure.
- can't wait for friday to come! *winks

Trip to Ipoh

hey people!! I'm Baaacccckkkk!! wheee~! ehehe.. so sorry guys. Just haven't been up to blog. but anyway, here i am. back again. posting something up for everyone =) specially for bri and james! guys!! This post is for the both of you.. it's definitely very different without the both of you there.. but oh well, here goes..

Yesterday(31st March), a few of our families (mine, uncle+aunt, lim family, uncle Jacob and Uncle Robert+Aunt Catherine) went to Ipoh for..wanna guess? lemme give you a clue..it was planned by Unlce Steven (james' dad) =p bahh.. obviously, it's all about F-O-O-D! grinz* it's been too long since i went out of town.. so i was rather excited to leave all my 'stuff' behind and have some real quality time with everyone.

Left house around 10.30 in the morning.. and reached Ipoh around 1pm i think.. cuz it was a public holiday, so it was jammed up.. hence, the 2 and a 1/2 hour ride just to reach Ipoh! (as usual, i was sleeping like a pig all the way.. and having james' "patrick" accompanying me was REALLY comfy =p)

Had lunch at a very very famous "char chan teng" with their very very famous " Ipoh sar hor fun" hehhe.. here, check it out. oh yea, and the whole coffee shop was jam-packed! can't even walk properly to our tables..gah..

Oh, did i mentioned my parent's hometown were in Kampar? right beside Ipoh.. well, they grew up there..grew up in a same church..and yes, fell in love too. =) we went back to my parent's, Aunty Elizabeth, and uncle Jacob's old school in Kampar.

My uncle won't trust just any chef to cook this lovely lil things.. so the only long trusted chef he trusts, owns a restaurant all the way in Ipoh.. so..that makes up why we are here..=) up till now, james n bri? are u guys drooling over your keyboards yet? hehe..if not, james check out more pics below.. muahaha*

heroes on earth "盖世英雄"

okok..!! i get it! here i am..finally, with a new post. *shy* so so sorry.. haven't been up to posting things on my blog..neither am i up to go on msn.. dunno why, just didn't feel like it since classes started last monday (5th of march). Well, here's a very very delayed update on some events in my life..and as you have guessed..yes! lee hom's "盖世英雄's" world tour concert. whee? yea.. was "whee-ing" my way there.. and..er, "un-whee-ing" my way back..hehe. but still, i still respect that fella.. he's one heck of a legend in asia's music industry.

First of all, i had only been to 2 (this-kind-of) concerts.. one is David Tao's world tour 2002 or 2003 can't remember..and the next one would be this one. =) well, i wasn't much of a lee hom's fan, i listen to his songs and all..admire his risk-taking creative-ness in music..yada yada yada.. but one day, i was having a management class and we touch on the topic, stage/event managing, so my teacher took lee hom's dvd concert's(in Taipei) handbook and took it as a teaching material, he couldn't show us the dvd but the hand book itself already made me go 'i need to see this dvd!'. so! dunno what got into me, as i hardly walk into a cd shop and purchase a real, even better, IMPORTED! dvd.. i actually bought that concert dvd.. (and it's not cheap..= =+)

Yes, i was definitely inspired by that 3 long hours concert done by lee hom in taipei. i couldn't take my eyes off the screen..and i think my mom is sick of me jumping up my sofa every 10 mins.. and go..'man! this fella is GOOD!!!' so then, being so impressed by the concert.. and finding out he's coming m'sia.. i told myself..no matter how expensive the tix was..i MUST go.. i need to experience what i experience from the dvd..LIVE! Don't get me wrong.. i don't idolize any superstars/singers/actors..etc. i only admire their contribution to music.. and yes, i really do admire he's musical talent and mixing different cultures into his music, taking up so many instruments not only to impress the commercial world but i think he's challenging himself non-stop as long as he has the chance to do it so.(yea, u know what i mean)

so, on the 4th of March, here i am in bukit jalil, with hui ting and mun wei. we reached there around 2 hours b4 the show..or maybe 3 i think, oh well.. Sunday afternoon is always a bad bad timing for me..as alot of ppl know, it's my sleeping time! heehee* well, other than me being tired and half-sick, i was standing outside..under the sun..lining up.. and, that's still not the worse.. the clouds went "boom..boom" oh great = =+ it started raining. so everyone squeezed and squashed..i really don't see the point why they're doing that..cuz no matter how u squeeze and squash u're still gonna be outdoor..= =+ and oh joy, we nvr thought of bringing an umbrella along.. due to lack of experience in this kinda concerts.. hehe.. so the ppl surrounding us started opening their umbrellas and the rain water was dripping down from the ends of all those umbrellas around us..ish! and more ppl came so MORE squeeshy and squashy moments.. well, to cut the story short.. we were practically all wet when we actually got IN to the stadium.. and there were still LOADS of squeeshy and squashy moments.. (lazy to type already..)

So the concert began.. finally. *phew* i'm not gonna talk much on the concert.. as i would say.. it's good for most of the ppl.. but me and mun wei were dissappointed, cuz both of us watched the dvd, and fyi, to make u understand why i'm dissappointed, the dvd being recorded was his FIRST stop in his world tour..and it's in his homeland-taipei. so the fact is, the concert was flaweless..his effort and passion was felt, eventho it was recorded and not live. As for m'sia it was his LAST stop..and,noo..he didn't take his last stop as a chance to make it a grand finale.. we somehow felt that he was just wanting it to be over.. not putting all his heart into making the concert as good as possible. Well, i guess he's darn tired of repeating the same thing on stage in every single country.. i don't blame him..really. I know he's a super star..but he's still like everyone of us-a HUMAN. so in all, i would give the concert 3.5 out of 5.. (for comparison, the taipei one was 6 out of 5)

ohyea,forgotten to mentioned..JJ was his special guest that nite..and heck! he was the one that impressed me and mun wei the most.. he's performances was..thumbs up! he improved so much..on his dancing..vocal.. really shocked. the best part was when he was playing on a white grand and leehom on a black grand..dueting together with 2 diff songs. JJ sang lee hom's and vice versa.. it was..amazing.

so, here's my post! ehehe..finally right? no..not really, this isn't what i'm suppose to be posting up, i'm suppose to be posting up my whole cny here..but..well, today had been definitely weird.. this i say weird? yea, it's weird.. hahaha. here goes, today was suppose to be a busy busy day for me, going out the whole day, and at night 'lou yu sang' in yeeng's house for cg night.

The original plan was to go out with mel, drew and aaron to watch dream girls..=) but mel couldn't go cuz she needs to get a printer from low yat.. so no point already for the 3 of us to go.. cuz mainly only me n mel wants to watch dream girls, and the guys are just there for the sake of hanging out=) then, initially josh asked me to go for lunch.. but i turn him down (sorry joshy) cuz already had this plan with andrew.. but since plan cancelled, so i ask josh whether he's still interested for a lunch. so then, the lunch was on..yipee! grinz* as i woke up this morning.. around 10 something josh called me to confirm the time and place.. was rather happy cuz it's been quite some time since i bonded with joshy dearie.. since kim left for nz, so now it's just the two of us..

then.. i started sneezing and sneezing..and SNEEZING! and more sneezing.. ahaha.. and at this very moment.. i'm still sneezing..ahaha.. (get the picture?) it's finally my turn..sigh.. well, during the whole cny, my family members including cousins, uncles, aunts, babies, grandpa.. was sick! even my mommy.. so imagine the germs and bacteria i'm exposed to.. and was quite happy cuz only me and daddy were still alive and healthy. so, yea.. i caught a flu.. from God knows who..(i think it's mommy..grr..) so i texted josh telling him that..lunch needed to be cancel.. cuz my eyes were swollen too.. and i look really scary. so ended up, i slept the whole entire day.. now, just woke up, took a shower.. and feeling a lil bit better.. (but still sneezing..ehehe) but i think i would be okay for the cg nite.. oh well, what a time to fall sick! oh maaaan.. lee hom's concert on sunday and starting school on monday?!?! sigh.. (winks to mel) sigh again.. (winks to mel again.. ahahaha)

so, this is my day.. a total opposite of what i'd expected.. SIGH...

since a week since i blogged.. well, this week has been rather hectic and i would say..tough? hehe..well, so here goes.. my week!

monday: snip snip snip..!ehehe.. yes. i went cut hair with aaron.. =) i chopped my long long hair off..so now it's short. aaron cut and highlighted.. and man, he looks hot! *ouch* haha.. later on, went meet up parents and james, his mom and another aunt for lunch. then, went shopping with bri and james.. both of em bought shoeeess.. to start a new journey in aus. ehehe..(that's what bri says). later that night, my family and james went klcc for dinner.. well, just wanna spend some quality time with james..it was good. had dinner at Madam kwan's, ate their oh-so-famous nasi lemak! pictures time..

Thursday: was another long day..had lunch with grace, pastor Goh and aunty Irene..and of course with the person that made the lunch happened.. ehehe..james! Grace's family wants to buy him a lunch before he leaves.. so yea, i tagged along..=) had lunch in Italiannies. was a fruitful one..many good stuff was shared at the table..

Night.. party @ kim's. it was a farewell for both of em.. meng prepared the dinner..we had steamboat. nice one meng! ehehe.. later on, played this game-Taboo..(correct right?) well, sadly i don't have pics of that night.. but there are a few in Ben's account. can go check it out.. =)

Friday: oooh..audition! yamaha scholarship audition. well, it turns out..hmm..like what i expected..ahahhaa. first of all, i wasn't prepared at all for the audition, just don't have the urgency to do well. so mom gave me a looong lecture after the audition, that was becuz i told her the truth about how i viewed the audition. oh well, it was definitely a new experience for me. will try harder next time.=)

had cell at night.. but poor jane was sick so the original plan was canceled. but we still gathered anyhow ehehe..at bri's house. and we discussed over some stuff for mjyf-high school. then, as everyone lays around.. feeling lazy, we all ended up watching a walk to remember.

Saturday: teached piano whole morning.. went church, music class, prayer meeting. At night, went to Lim's family's company's annual dinner, company's name was-classic scenic. i think..(bri, correct?) well, dinner was really noisy. and i meant REALLY noisy.. but still had a great time with the lim sisters..

Sunday: whoaa.. a day that i dreaded for it to come.. it was James's last sunday in church, he was leaving that night.. so, basically, i was more calm and collected that i expected. hehe.. i mean, he's like my brother, my bestfriend! a person that i see almost everyday of my life since the day i was born..! how can i not be sad right? but now.. knowing that he's over in Melb facing a whole new environment, meeting up with new ppl.. new church.. experiencing God in even more awesome ways.. im glad that all of us are growing up and moving on. and James? you're definitely gonna do fine.. i know you will. take care ait?
